Local 397 Stewards

Stewards engage members through a bottom-up approach to solve problems and change the balance of power in the workplace.

Stewards are workers who volunteer to help keep their fellow union members connected and informed about union activities. Stewards help answer questions, welcome new staff to the union, and make sure everyone has all the union stickers and buttons they need. Stewards also play a role in making sure the terms of the contract are followed and enforced. If you aren’t sure what our contract says about something you’re experiencing at work, talk to a steward!
